You are invited to participate in the Kids Are Priority One Coalition's Quality Work Group.  A meeting will be held from 1:00-3:30 PM on December 7, 2007 at CCV in Wilder, VT.
 
Kids Are Priority One Work Groups are a mechanism for engaging all who are interested in early care and education public policy issues.  The Quality Work Group will set policy priorities and develop policy recommendations related to the quality of early childhood development services with an eye towards building a campaign for the 2009/10 legislative biennium.
 
Sue Ryan has passed the facilitator "wand" for the Quality Work Group to VAEYC.  Melissa Riegel-Garrett and JoAnne McDonough's will be facilitating your group on behalf of the Kids Are Priority One Coalition staff.
      
At the first meeting we will utilize the results of the quality survey put forth by this group last Spring as a jumping off place to determine where there is energy and passion to move those agenda items forward.  Part of this process will be to determine what items have a "legislative ask" to them, and if not a legislative component, then who would be the correct audience to help effect change.  Based on the desire of the group, we will determine next steps for moving our identified items forward.
 
We look forward to working with you on this important aspect of the Kids Are Priority One Coalition legislative agenda setting and policy building process!
