Governor Douglas will hold a public signing

for the Pre-k bill on June 1, 2007

The Governor’s signing of the Pre-K Bill - AN ACT RELATING TO PREKINDERGARTEN EDUCATION is scheduled for:

10-10:30 on Friday June 1st

at the Creative Minds Children’s Center

4116 Route 105,  Newport Center, VT  

 

Just after the official signing, the national organization Pre-K Now! will be presenting Pre-K Champion awards to five legislators who participated most in helping pass the bill. 

Many thanks to all of you who contributed so much to making possible the passing of this landmark legislation.  Vermont is one of very few states who has made the formal commitment to contribute public education funds to preschool, as well as encouraging community involvement and collaboration with private providers.
