Announcing New Coalition Initiative:

Parents Rising

The Kids Are Priority One Coalition recently launched its new Parents Rising initiative, which brings together mothers, fathers and caregivers who want to take action on issues that are important to them and their children. Kelly Ault, the coalition’s new Parent Organizer, is affiliated with Mama Says, one of the coalition’s lead organizations. Mama Says is a community network committed to improving the lives of families by providing support through education, communication and advocacy.
The Parents Rising initiative is modeled after the national grassroots organization, MomsRising.org  (www.momsrising. org) and its affiliate, FamiliesRising. org (www.familiesrising. org). Both are working to build a family-friendly America.
Kelly will serve as a resource on educational events, leadership trainings, information about issues facing Vermont’s families and opportunities to speak out.
